First time making Merlot

I'm excited about this batch of merlot. I added extra toasted oak chips to build more dramatic flavors. I kept it simple and straight to the point. Just how I like it :)

DIY Project #1

Corner mini-bar
Total Cost: $35 hard earned Canadian dollars

I enjoy do it yourself projects. I had an idea of making a corner mini bar for my apartment. I went to Home Depot and bought a single square sheet of pre-finished pine wood, cutout a piece for a shelf, screwed on some extra ikea table legs I had laying around to the wood top, finished off the wood with mahogany varinish and mounted the top shelf above the table for the beverage bottles. All in all it was a very simple project that worked out quite well.

Home Made Drawer Dividers
Total Cost: $8.00

A friend of mine told me how he made custom kitchen drawer dividers. I thought it was a brilliant idea, the thing with store bought drawer dividers is they never seem to fit your drawers properly. Custom making it out of wood seem more practical... and fun if you enjoy simple do it yourself projects. Over all I was happy with the outcome, my kitchen drawers have never been so organized :)
